Jeddah — A medical team at King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah successfully removed a tumor, weighing more than 7 kilograms from the abdomen of a patient in her 50s.

The operation was led by Dr. Saad Al-Awad, a consultant endocrinologist and oncologist.

Dr. Al-Awad said that the patient is a resident in her 50 and was suffering from bleeding and problems caused by the tumor pressure on the internal organs of the abdomen and pelvis.

After conducting the necessary tests and analyzes, it was decided that the tumor should be removed urgently, Dr. Al-Awad said.

Dr. Al Awad added that the surgery was performed and the tumor weighing 7 kilograms and 385 grams was removed, pointing out that the patient's health condition is stable, appreciating the role of the medical staff who participated in the operation.
