Saudi leaders congratulate Romania President Iohannis on National Day

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman have sent messages of congratulations to Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on the eve of his country's National Day anniversary.

In their congratulatory messages, the King and the Crown Prince wished the Romanian president good health and happiness and the government and people of Romania steady progress and prosperity.

The National Day, also known as Great Union Day, is a national holiday in Romania, celebrated on Dec.1, marking the unification of Transylvania, Bessarabia, and Bukovina with the Romanian Kingdom in 1918.

The Saudi leaders also congratulated the President of the Central African Republic (CAR) Faustin-Archange Touadéra on the eve of his country's Republic Day anniversary.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince wished the CAR President good health and happiness and the government and people of the CAR steady progress and prosperity.

Republic Day is a national holiday in the Central African Republic (CAR) and it is celebrated on Dec. 1 each year. It commemorates the anniversary of the Central African Republic becoming an autonomous territory within the French Community in 1958. —
