Saudi Arabia bags 6 Arab govt excellence awards

ABU DHABI — Saudi Arabia bagged six awards in the field of Arab governmental excellence, a competition organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development, an affiliate of the Cairo-based Arab League, in cooperation with the government of the United Arab Emirates, aiming to contribute to developing the governmental work system in Arab countries, establish an advanced platform for exchanging ideas and experience and celebrate the distinguished Arab examples and experience in the field of governmental work.

During the virtual celebration party, it was announced that six Saudi governmental departments and an individual ranked top of Arab competing institutions and individuals.

According to the report, the Saudi commerce ministry won the best Arab ministry prize, the Saudi Arabian Food, and Drug Authority was selected as the best Arab governmental authority, and Furigat was announced the best governmental developmental service,

Meanwhile, the real estate application service ranked as the best Arab governmental smart application, "Establish Your Business" application service, an affiliate of the ministry of commerce, was awarded the best Arab governmental smart application while the executive chief officer of the National Water Company Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al-Muwakili was given the prize of the best general manager of an Arab institution. —SPA
