TABUK — A Saudi woman pharmacist has won accolades for her remarkable contributions to the research related to successful measures taken by the Kingdom to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

Prince Fahd Bin Sultan, the emir of Tabuk, received Khaleda Ahmed Al-Anzi, the supervisor of the Regional Center for Drug Information and Vigilance at the Health Department of Tabuk, at his office in the emirate on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Prince Fahd praised the efforts of Khaleda for the scientific research carried out by her and her colleagues that drew the attention of the world toward Saudi Arabia.

“We congratulate you and your leadership, and the country is proud of you,” he said.

The emir noted that this is an extension of the great successes achieved by the Kingdom in confronting the coronavirus pandemic, and that is with direct guidance, support, and follow-up from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

“The precautionary measures and preventive protocols introduced by the state have contributed immensely in preserving the health of citizens and expatriates,” he said while highlighting the importance of various initiatives taken by the people of the country.

Khaleda took part in a recent study that shed light on the most important measures and precautions taken by the Kingdom as well as the extent of their impact on COVID-19 patients.

The research study was published in the Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal after its arbitration, and it was widely circulated and more than 10 research papers that were published later have benefited from it.

On her part, Khaleda expressed her thanks and appreciation of Prince Fahd Bin Sultan for his care, support, and keenness to honor the distinguished sons and daughters of the Tabuk region.
