Bahrain king arrives in UAE to attend tripartite summit

ABU DHABI — Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday. He is accompanied by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the king’s representative for humanitarian works and youth affairs.

Upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was received by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the deputy supreme commander of the UAE armed forces, where a number of UAE top officials were also present.

They welcomed King Hamad and expressed sincere condolences to him on the death of Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest his soul in Paradise and to grant patience and fortitude to the family.

King Hamad will attend the tripartite summit, which will be held on Wednesday, along with Jordan's King Abdulla II and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi. — Agencies
