RIYADH — The Chair of Think 20 Group (T20) and Vice President for Research at King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) Dr. Fahd Al-Turki has stressed the importance of the Kingdom's presidency of the G20 summit 2020, which focuses on three main axes: empowering people, safeguarding the planet and shaping new frontiers.

Dr. Al-Turki said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the Kingdom's presidency and hosting of the G20 leaders' summit that the importance of hosting the summit emanates from the Kingdom's being a major axis in the region and the world, as the Saudi economy contributes to the stability of the global economy.

He said that the importance also stems from the Kingdom's presentation of the perspective of the MENA region, in addition to the views of developing countries.

He stated that the T20 is working on climate and environment, empowerment of women and youth, pluralism and economic development, finance and sustainable resources, technology and digitization. — SPA
