Saudi leaders congratulate Biden on winning US presidential election

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, congratulated Joseph Biden on winning the presidential election in the United States.

In a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency late Sunday, the Saudi leaders wished Biden success and further progress and prosperity for the American people.

The Custodian of the Holy Mosques “praised the distinct close historic ties existing between the two friendly countries and their citizens,” which both sides seek to strengthen and develop in all fields.

The King and the Crown Prince also congratulated Kamala Harris on becoming US vice president-elect. — SG
