RIYADH — A delegation of the Olympic Council of Asia's evaluation committee, is currently in the Saudi capital here in a 3-day visit, to directly and thoroughly review Riyadh 2030 bid's details, to play host to that edition of the Asian Games, or Asiad.

The delegation is set to pay visit to several sports' facilities for the Asiad, in addition to other related utilities, to prove the readiness of Riyadh to play host to that great continent-wide sport carnival.

If picked as host, it would be for the first time that the Kingdom will play host to a major Asian sports spectacle throughout the history of Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom has formally filed an application to host that sports demonstration of the Asian Games, on Oct. 5, 2020, to the Olympic Council of Asia. — SPA
