JEDDAH — The United States, Egypt, and Kuwait have joined the global condemnation of the Iranian-backed Houthis against civilians and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the US Department of State expressed its condemnation and denunciation of these attacks which were launched indiscriminately toward Riyadh and risked the lives of innocent civilians.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Thursday expressed Egypt's full solidarity and stand with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to maintain its security and stability as well as its people, condemning the Houthi repeated terrorist attacks and bomb-laden UAVs, which were intercepted and destroyed by the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

Kuwait also strongly condemned on Thursday, the Houthi militia's drone attack, which targeted civilians and cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said a source at the Foreign Ministry, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The source revealed that the increasing hostile acts were in clear violation of international laws and norms, adding that the attacks also threatened Saudi security and peace.

It went on to say that, the international community and the United Nations Security Council must hold the Houthis responsible for their acts threatening the security and stability of the region. The source expressed its solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia.
