MANAMA — Bahrain's Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani said the visit of the joint US-Israeli delegation to Bahrain has paved the way for fruitful cooperation to serve the interests of all parties, especially with the signing of memoranda of understanding between Bahrain and Israel on establishing peaceful diplomatic relations, including a memo on economic and trade cooperation.

In a press release marking the occasion, the minister stressed that the visit is an embodiment of the kingdom’s efforts to achieve peace and prosperity in the region.

He added the step to establish diplomatic relations with Israel is in tune with the tendency of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to promote the culture of peace in the world and intensify efforts to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict according to the Arab Peace Initiative.

Al Zayani noted that signing the memorandum of understanding on economic and trade cooperation will contribute to boosting the economy of both countries as it will enhance trade exchange, attract joint investments and contribute to creating more job opportunities.

It will boost the security, stability, and prosperity of the region. “We are looking forward to more fruitful cooperation between both countries in the future through exchanging visits and joint projects, “ he said.

The Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism underlined the importance of bilateral cooperation to achieve common aspirations and foster peace and security in the region.

He pointed out that building relations with major international companies is an essential step for a better economic future for both countries and for regional stability and prosperity. — Bahrain News Agency
