RAMALLAH — The Palestinian Prime Minister’s office announced approving a number of projects with $5.7 million in occupied Jerusalem, provided by the Kuwait-based Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).

The funds are provided to different institutions specializing in health, culture, development and education, the office said in a statement on Sunday.

The projects include developing the institutions’ infrastructure, providing scholarships and youth developmental initiatives.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh announced that AFESD will provide $1.2 million to support Palestinian hospitals in fighting the coronavirus. — KUNA
