King Salman awards King Abdulaziz Medal to Saudi organ, blood donors

RIYADH — A number of Saudi citizens have been awarded the King Abdulaziz Medal for donating their organs and blood to the needy following the approval of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Saudi Press Agency reported late Thursday.

A total of 13 citizens have been given the King Abdulaziz Merit Medal of the Second Class for donating their blood for 50 times while 213 citizens received the King Abdulaziz Medal of the Third Class for donating their blood for 10 times.

The King Abdulaziz Medal of the Third Class was also bestowed upon 14 male and female citizens for
their donation of one of their main organs, whether from a living or brain-dead person.
