JEDDAH —
Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah said that adherence to health measures is "the weapon" of citizens and residents to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus.

“Adherence is our weapon, and carelessness will harm us,” the minister tweeted after the National Day celebrations, emphasizing that new confirmed and active cases are declining, while recoveries have exceeded 94% of total cases.

"Do not allow the pandemic to spread, as some unfortunate scenes do not reflect our awareness," Al-Rabiah said, urging all people to adhere to the coronavirus health preventive measures.

Saudi Arabia is witnessing a declining trend regarding virus infections since the beginning of September.

The Kingdom announced the gradual resumption of Umrah and visits to the Two Holy Mosques with a limited number of domestic pilgrims starting from Oct. 4, 2020.

Authorities will allow international flights to operate normally from Jan.1, 2021.
