RIYADH — On the occasion of the 90th Saudi National Day, ACWA Power, a leading developer, investor and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants worldwide, has launched a new nation-wide initiative — ‘The Power is Within You’ — which aims to empower youth in the Kingdom to ideate, develop and implement their product, service or technology innovations in the power and water sector, in line with Vision 2030.

Believing in the immense potential of Saudi youth to develop progressive sustainable ideas, ACWA Power has introduced an exclusive platform to support and amplify the efforts of the country’s next generation of innovators.

“The Power is Within You” platform includes an incubation program that will help develop the winning ideas through a dedicated training and mentoring process guided by ACWA Power experts and supported by the Higher Institute for Water and Power Technologies (HIWPT), ACWA Power’s flagship institute that develops technical vocational capacity and training.

ACWA Power has launched a three-week campaign, inviting innovative young Saudi talent to share their idea submissions through an online form by the Oct. 14. Three participants will be selected from nine shortlisted entries to be part of ACWA Power and HIWPT’s incubator, training, and mentorship program, where they will benefit from the experience and guidance of senior industry experts and representatives. — SG
