Air show, fireworks planned for 90th Saudi National Day

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia is gearing up to celebrate its 90th National Day with the air show, dazzling fireworks, and concerts across the country under the guidance of Turki Al-Sheikh, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA).

The air show, the largest so far on the National Day, will have the participation of 60 military and civilian aircraft. It will be broadcast on Sept. 23 on the Saudi TV Channel at 4 p.m.

True to it’s the motto “Passion to the Top”; the 90th National Day celebrations embody Saudi loyalty and cohesion.

The GEA also launched an initiative titled “We sing to our country” where the audience participates with a hashtag and a personal video of singing the national anthem. Selected videos will be used to produce a comprehensive artwork reflecting the spirit of national participation.

Concerts featuring Arab stars will also be organized in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam from Sept. 22 to 26.

Earlier, the GEA announced the 90th National Day motto, Himma Hatta Al-qimma” (Passion to the Top) that symbolizes cohesion, pride, unity, and development. — SG
