TABUK — Prince Fahd Bin Sultan, the emir of Tabuk region, underscored the need to empower people affected with autism and help them integrate into society. He also stressed that this segment of the society should be given proper care and rehabilitation so as to allow those with creativity to participate in enriching the country in all spheres of life.

The emir made the remarks during an audience with Dr. Salem Al-Dhahi, the chairman of the board of directors of the Autism Society in Tabuk region, and members of the board at his office in the emirate here on Monday.

At the outset of the meeting, Prince Fahd praised the support and keenness of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman in serving this segment of the society. The emir wished the association every success in its charitable work and constructive initiatives.

Dr. Al-Dhahi briefed the emir on the major achievements of the association and projects it carried out last year. He explained the most important programs, initiatives, and consultations that targeted people with autism spectrum disorder and their families. He also spoke about results of the society’s participation in forums and conferences across the Kingdom, and the association’s future plans and programs.

Dr. Al-Dhahi appreciated the great support that the society received from the emir to continue scoring more achievements and realizing goals in serving the country and its people.
