MANAMA/CAIRO — Bahrain and Egypt strongly condemned continued missile and drone attacks by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia targeting civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.

The Bahrain Foreign Ministry affirmed the solidarity of Bahrain with Saudi Arabia against all those who attempt to undermine its security and territorial integrity.

While the ministry denounced the practices and aggressive actions of the Houthi militia, it also condemned its continuing attack on the Yemeni city of Marib, inhabited by millions of innocent displaced people who were forced to seek refuge from the oppression and violations of the Houthis, which further exacerbated the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

It condemned the terrorist Houthi militias' continued obstruction of the efforts of the UN Secretary General's envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, and rejecting his initiatives, especially his proposal to reach a permanent ceasefire agreement in Yemen.

Meanwhile, Egypt expressed its full support for all measures taken by the Arab Coalition to deal with the terrorist practices of the Houthi militia.

In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry confirmed its alignment with the Kingdom in its sincere efforts to push the march of a political solution in Yemen and enforce the ceasefire between the legitimate government forces and the Houthis. — SPA
