The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development on Monday announced two-day off for the public sector employees and one day holiday for those in the private sector in connection with the Saudi National Day.

For public sector employees the holiday will be on Wednesday and Thursday (Sept. 23 and 24), while for the private sector it will be on Wednesday.

Saudi Arabia celebrates National Day every Sept. 23 to commemorate the unification of the Kingdom, by a royal decree from King Abdul Aziz in 1932. It was made a national holiday back in 2005. This year will mark the 90th Saudi National Day.
