Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH –
King Saud University (KSU) has postponed first semester studies in this academic year for all external scholarship students outside Saudi Arabia.

The university said the decision was in compliance with the current exceptional circumstances, including continued suspension of air traffic due to the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic, and the inability of foreign scholarship students, who are outside the Kingdom, to be here on time to resume their studies.

The university has made it clear that absence in this semester will not be counted within the maximum number of postponements allowed as per the Study and Examinations Regulation, its executive bylaw, and the Unified Statute for Postgraduate Studies.

Grades have not been assigned to scholarship students who graduated from the same university earlier and are seeking enrollment in higher academic classes. The grades will be assigned in the second semester or upon the restoration of air travel, the university said.
