Yemeni held for providing illegal medical services

A Yemeni national was arrested here on Sunday for illegally providing medical services, treating illegal workers and storing medicines in two apartments in the capital city.

Local media reports quoted Maj. Khaled Al-Kreidis, assistant media spokesman for the Riyadh Police, saying the alleged culprit, in his 60s, was running two apartments in the city, one as a clinic to treat illegal workers, mostly from Ethiopia, and the other as a warehouse to store medicines illegally obtained from pharmaceutical companies.

More than 30,000 packages of medicines and medical supplies and SR800,000 in cash were confiscated, the spokesman added.

The Yemeni national has been referred to the Public Prosecution. Maj. Al-Kreidis said.
