Saudi corona cases marginally up; 31 more die

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia reported a slight increase in the number of coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours. On Sunday, the ministry of health said there were 1,413 new infections, marginally up from Saturday's figure of 1,383.

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the Kingdom stands at 297,315, health ministry said.

Thirty-one people died due to complications caused by the virus, which brings the coronavirus death toll in Saudi Arabia to 3,369.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the country rose to 264,487 after 1,528 people recovered from the virus, the spokesman said.

Khamis Mushayt with 76 cases topped the list of Sunday. It was followed by 68 in Dammam, 65 in Makkah, 59 in Riyadh, 57 in Jeddah, 45 in Madinah, 42 in Hufof, 32 in Buraidah, 27 in Hafr Al-Batin, 26 in Tabuk, 22 in Al-Aydhabi, 20 in Al-Harjan, 19 each in Bareq, Abu Arish and Najran, 18 in Samtah, 17 each in Ar-Ras, Unaizah and Uhud Rufaidah.

The rest of the cases are scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom.
