Saudi Arabia’s coronavirus recovery rate tops 88% as 3,124 more patients recover

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Thursday announced 1,482 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 294,519.

Saudi Arabia’s coronavirus recovery rate on Thursday exceeded 88 percent, the highest ever since the outbreak of the pandemic as the Kingdom recorded 3,124 new recoveries from the deadly disease, pushing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 260,393.

The ministry also announced 34 more fatalities from complications caused by COVID-19, raising the total number of virus-related deaths to 3,303.

The ministry said that 86 of the new cases were recorded in Riyadh, while there were 77 reported in Jeddah and 63 in Hail.

The number of active coronavirus cases in the Kingdom has reached 30,823, out of which 1,805 are critical.
