UAE records 277 new coronavirus cases, 179 recoveries

ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Thursday recorded 277 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of registered cases in the country to 63,489, the Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement carried by WAM.

The new patients, all of whom are stable and receiving necessary medical care, after the ministry conducted more than 68,964 new coronavirus tests in the past 24 hours among different segments of the society using the best and latest medical examination techniques.

The ministry also said that a total of 179 more patients have completely recovered from the deadly disease after receiving the necessary health care, taking the total number of recoveries in the UAE to 57,372.

The health ministry also announced that no death was recorded in the past 24 hours.
