UNAIZAH, Saudi Arabia — A large number of young Saudi entrepreneurs, including women, made the most of the annual Unaizah Dates Festival recently.

Mariam Al-Motairi, head of the businesswomen committee at the Unaizah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said several young businessmen benefited from the opportunities available in the festival with their participation in the retail sales of dates and their products, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

She attributed the participation of a large number of women in the festival to the significant role played by the committee in supporting productive families. “The chamber is determined to take advantage of all the activities taking place in the governorate to provide more opportunities to women,” she said.

The festival, organized by the chamber in partnership with the Unaizah Municipality, provided opportunities to a number of young entrepreneurs to engage in the sale of dates and benefit from it financially.
