Crown Prince receives call from Iraqi premier

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, received a phone call on Monday from Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, inquiring about the health of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the call, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman reiterated the Kingdom's keenness on the security and stability of Iraq and for the development of relations between the two countries in various fields.

Al-Kadhimi’s high-profile visit to the Kingdom was postponed a the last-minute after King Salman was admitted to the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh last Monday where he underwent a successful laparoscopic operation on Thursday to have his gallbladder removed.

He is expected to visit Saudi Arabia once King Salman completely recovers and is released from the hospital.
