MAKKAH —
The Arafat Day sermon will be broadcast in five languages — English, French, Indonesian, Urdu, and Persian, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques announced on Sunday.

Standing on Arafat, the pinnacle of the Hajj pilgrimage, takes place on the 9th day of the lunar month of Dhul Hijjah. On this day, pilgrims gather on the plains of Mount Arafat and keep themselves busy in prayers and supplications till sunset and leave for Muzdalifah to spend the night there.

The sermon will be available on smartphone app as well as on the website of the presidency, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

The project, in its third year, witnessed a technical and organizational development that would enable users to benefit from translations in the holy sites.
