RIYADH — The Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) has been included in the list of annual tables for the Nature Index 2020, which specializes in statistical research outputs for universities and research centers, where the university ranked fifth, during the period from January 2019 to Dec. 31, 2019.

This classification takes into account the number of published high-quality studies, as a percentage of the total output of the academic institution in the fields of natural sciences, rather than relying on the number of studies only. This method reveals a completely different group of leading academic institutions in the world.

For his part, PMU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Faisal Bin Yousef Al-Enizi said that the university’s achievement is a qualitative addition to the university’s multiple academic accomplishments during the past period.

This includes ranking among the best 1,000 universities around the world and the top 150 newly built universities around the world, according to the QS World rankings.— SPA
