Saudi Arabia records 2,613  new coronavirus cases, 37 more deaths

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Friday registered 2,613 new coronavirus cases and 37 more deaths, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 245,851 and virus-related fatalities to 2,407 according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also said that 3,539 more patients have completely recovered from the deadly virus.

According to the ministry, the recovery rate has increased to 77.75 percent, with the number of recoveries reaching 191,161

Of the new cases, 235 were recorded in Jeddah, 191 in Al Hufof, 185 in Riyadh, 147 in Al Mobarraz, 127 in Dammam, 124 in Taif and 90 in Makkah.

The other new infections were found in cities and provinces across the Kingdom.
