RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh announced on Monday that Eid Al-Adha prayers shall be offered only in mosques and not in any open grounds.

In a circular sent to the ministry’s branches in all regions of the Kingdom, the minister directed that Eid prayers shall be offered inside big mosques and additional mosques where arrangements are made to hold the Eid prayer. He said that no Eid prayer shall be offered at open grounds in light of the prevailing exceptional circumstances.

The ministry has called for the implementation of all precautionary measures and preventive protocols issued by the competent authorities.
