Oman reports 1,518 new coronavirus cases, 3 deaths

MUSCAT — Oman continued to report a surge in new coronavirus cases with 1,518 infections being reported on Thursday, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Health carried by Oman News Agency.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate to 51,725.

The ministry also announced three more deaths from complications caused by the coronavirus infection, raising the total number of virus-related fatalities in the country to 236.

The ministry also pointed out that a total of 1,016 more patients have recovered from the deadly virus, taking the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 33,021.

The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing regulations issued by the health authorities, as well as staying at home and not going out unless absolutely necessary.
