Zain KSA bags fastest fixed Internet award

RIYADH — Globally renowned "Ookla’s SpeedTest" website known in measuring Internet speed named Zain KSA for fastest fixed Internet.

The company was able to achieve this milestone for rolling out the largest 5G network and for making investments in this field, where it is considered the largest in the middle East, Europe, and Africa and the fourth largest in the world for covering 30 cities Kingdomwide.

Zain KSA's CEO Sultan Bin AbdulAziz Al-Deghaither said, "The award is an international recognition for Zain KSA’s superb performance and for its novel operational strategy, it's contribution to strengthening the capabilities of the Saudi ICT sector and achieving its objectives, in line with Saudi Vision 2030."

He added, "Once again, Zain KSA is scoring an internationally remarkable achievement following a series of significant breakthroughs achieved within less than a year. More recently, winning the international SpeedTest award for fastest fixed Internet in the Kingdom, and prior to winning the award Zain KSA achieved the 18th place among Saudi Arabia’s top 50 brands, in addition to Zain rolling out the fourth largest 5G network in the world, and the largest in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa."

Al-Deghaither reaffirmed Zain KSA's pioneering role in the ICT sector, in line with the wise leaderships’ direction for advancing the digital transformation in the kingdom, by collaborating and cooperating with all the entities involved, more prominently Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Communications and Information Technology Commission. — SG
