Education minister discusses cooperation with NZ envoy

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Bin Muhammad Al-Asheikh had a remote meeting with New Zealand's Ambassador to the Kingdom James Munro on Monday.

They discussed fields of cooperation between the two countries in education and research, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the education sector, and support for distance education programs between Saudi and New Zealand universities, training programs for Saudi doctors, and scholarship programs and specializations, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

The education minister also reassured Saudi students on scholarship in New Zealand on the efforts being exerted for their welfare. The meeting was attended by several officials of the ministry of education and the New Zealand Embassy in the Kingdom.
