MUSCAT — Nine new deaths have been recorded in Oman of patients suffering from COVID-19. This takes the total death toll in the sultanate due to the novel coronavirus, to 185, the ministry of health said on Wednesday.

The country recorded 1,124 new coronavirus cases, raising the total to 41,194, the ministry said.

Of the newly detected cases, 852 are Omani nationals while 262 are foreigners.

The total number of recoveries has reached 24,162 after 737 additional people recovered.

The ministry urged everyone to adhere to social distancing instructions. People have been urged to stay at home and not go out unless necessary. — Agencies
