Active cases in Qatar rise to 15,601

DOHA — Active coronavirus cases in Qatar rose Sunday to 15,607 with the detection of 750 new infections during the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

A total of 1,477 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country. This brings the total number of recoveries to 78,702.

Meanwhile, with no fatalities announced during the last 24 years, the coronavirus death toll stands at 110.

Eight people were admitted into the ICU in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of ICU patients to 201.

As many as 3,462 new COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country, taking the total to nearly 350,000. — Agencies
