ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Thursday announced 430 new coronavirus cases and one more virus-related death, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Health and Prevention.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and coronavirus-related fatalities in the country to 46, 563 and 308 respectively.

According to the ministry, 760 infected patients have fully recovered, raising the total number of recoveries in the UAE to 35,165.

The new cases were detected after the ministry conducted more than 49,000 coronavirus tests among citizens and residents, the ministry said.

The ministry expressed its regret and sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for all the infected patients, calling on community members to cooperate with health authorities, follow the instructions and adhere to social distancing regulations to ensure the health and safety of all.

Late on Wednesday, the UAE ended a three-month national sterilization program, allowing residents to move and travel freely across the country.
