ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday announced detected 380 new coronavirus cases and two more deaths related to the virus in the past 24 hours, the country’s Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement carried by state news agency WAM.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and fatalities in the country to 45,683 and 305 respectively.

The new cases, which are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary care. They were detected after the ministry conducted 40,000 additional COVID-19 tests among the citizens and residents in the country.

The ministry also noted an additional 657 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 33,703.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished current COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery.
