Saudi Space Commission's programs get global accreditations

RIYADH — The Saudi Space Commission obtained four world-class certifications related to quality, in terms of information technology from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Commenting on the development, the Executive President of the Saudi Space Commission Dr. Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh said that such accreditation of certificates enhances the status and ideal position of providing IT services and technological systems developed by the Commission, in accordance with the recognized world-class standards, to regulate processes and outputs efficiently, in the field of IT through total quality approach applications to perform, document and use of integrated systems' technique.

"Al-Sheikh" emphasized that obtaining ISO certificates by the Commission within a short period after its establishment is aimed toward digital for enhancing competitiveness and increasing efficiency that is in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The certificates were granted to the Commission after a comprehensive evaluation of the level of performance of information technology services and ensuring service readiness around the clock.

The Commission obtained four international accreditations that are as follows:

1. ISO 22301 and a business continuity management system certificate

2. ISO 20000, and a service management system certificate for information technology

3. ISO 27001, and cybersecurity management system certificate

4. ISO 9001 and quality management system certificate.

The ISO certificate is one of the most important international certifications that confirm the sustainable and continuous development of activities and services for the application of quality management principles, which will positively reflect on the performance of the Commission.
