MUSCAT — Oman on Thursday recorded 739 new cases of coronavirus and three more virus-related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 infections and fatalities in the Sultanate to 26,818 and 119 respectively, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Health carried by Oman News Agency.

Out of the newly detected cases, 302 were of them were Omani citizens and 427 of them were expatriates, the ministry’s statement said.

The ministry also said a total of 1,467 more patients have recovered from the deadly disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Sultanate to 13,264.

The ministry also announced that 2,347 coronavirus tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.

The ministry added that 56 cases were hospitalized on Thursday and out of 378 hospitalized patients, 103 of them are in intensive care units (ICU), it added.
