RABAT — Culture, awareness and solidarity help a good deal in mitigating the effects of COVID-19 pandemic, said Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Culture.

Prince Badr made the remarks during an extraordinary virtual conference of culture ministers of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization member states, entitled “Sustainability Sustainability of Cultural Action in the Face of Crises, COVID-19."

In his speech, the culture minister commended the early precautionary measures taken by Saudi Arabia to prevent the spread of coronavirus. He said the measures truly represent the concept of “Human Lives Come First” and reflect the true principles of Islam.

Prince Badr wished that the conference would provide an opportunity for cooperation in overcoming challenges and enhancing the cultural activity to achieve the development goals.
