RIYADH — The Misk Academy, part of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Foundation (Misk), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting learning, innovation and developing leadership skills, recently signed an agreement with General Electric (GE) for enhancing leadership skills of senior Saudi leaders, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The agreement was signed by the CEO of the MiSK Academy, Eng. Omar Al-Najjar, and the president and the CEO of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain General Electric, Hisham Ali Al-Bahkali.

The agreement aims to benefit from the experiences of one of the most important leadership academies in the world to support and enhance the skills of Saudi leaders and develop authentic methods, ideas and behaviors that advance the works of civil and governmental institutions to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The initiative is the first step in cooperation, as the Misk Academy and General Electric launched the “Accelerated Leadership Program” for a select group of senior Saudi leaders who enjoy high positions in the governmental and private sectors to benefit from the programs that will be held both physically and virtually at the GE's learning center in Crotonville in New York. The initiative kicked off with a virtual session of a select group of Saudi leaders last month, in coordination with the Misk Academy and the General Electric.

At the institute in Crotonville, the GE highlights the latest leadership styles, instills its best behaviors, shares ideas with the most influential thinkers in academia and business, and creates transformational learning experiences to inspire today's leaders and prepare tomorrow's leaders, the goal of which is to plan additional programs in close coordination with both sides.
