Saudi Gazette report

JEDDAH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development approved a number of mechanisms for attendance at workplaces in both public and private sectors in Jeddah Governorate, Saudi Press Agency reported early Saturday.

The move follows the Ministry of Interior's decision on Friday to re-impose strict coronavirus precautionary measures in Jeddah Governorate for a period of 15 days, starting from Saturday (June 6) until June 20.

The mechanisms outlined by the ministry of human resources are as follows:

1. With regard to the public sector, attendance at workplaces for all employees in the city of Makkah continues to be suspended, and attendance for workplaces in Jeddah Governorate is suspended for all employees, with the exception of officials such as directors of departments and higher positions.

As for the rest of the cities and governorates, the attendance of employees to workplaces will be a maximum of 50 percent of the total employees, and the rest will work remotely.

2. With regard to the private sector, the work continues as it is currently in all cities and governorates of the Kingdom, except for Jeddah Governorate, where the work returns as it was in the previous stage, in which the curfew started from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development underlined the need for adherence to the preventive protocols published on the website of the Saudi Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
