ARAR, Saudi Arabia — Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Sultan, governor of the Northern Borders region, Friday launched the projects for resettling of Salsola and fields of reducing carbon footprint by planting trees.

The projects are being carried out under the theme: "It’s Time for Nature", coinciding with the World Environment Day (WED), which falls on Friday, June 5, 2020, with a call for urgent action to protect "Biodiversity".

On the occasion, he expressed his great interest in environmental development and limiting its destruction, because it has a profound impact on the quality of human life and urged safety from all pollutants as well as on climate changes and their implications.

The governor also stressed that preserving the planet is one of the most important issues of G20, including reducing land degradation by reforestation of the planet. — SPA
