Precautionary measures put in place at KAIA

JEDDAH —
King Abdulaziz International Airport here is all geared up for the resumption of domestic flights starting Sunday (May 31) putting in place all the precautionary measures and regulations set by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in cooperation with the relevant authorities to face the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The precautionary measures include checking on airport visitors with thermal cameras, installing sterilizing devices for stairs, electric walkways with ultraviolet technology and floor stickers and waiting seats to urge social distancing while at the airport, a Saudi Press Agency (SPA) report said.

The airport is also providing sterilizers and requiring all airport and aircrew staff to sterilize hands, wear masks, gloves and undergo a medical examination, in addition to sterilizing all airport facilities periodically every three hours and sterilizing all aircraft after each flight.
