RIYADH — The Minister of Justice and President of the Supreme Council of Magistracy Sheikh Dr. Waleed Bin Mohammed Al-Samani issued a direction to launch a remote litigation service after approving its procedural manual.

This new service is in the framework of the ministry's endeavor to completely shift to digitally-administered system, speed up prompt performance and better outputs, in addition to reactivating and integrating online litigation set up in Saudi Arabia.

The newly incorporated service envisions preserving all judicial safeguards, in accordance with governance references compatible with such a sophisticated judicial set up.

There shall be two types of remote litigation: Electronic appealing through the ministry's platform and the other is appealing session held via audio-visual communications.

Such a step has been systemized by the ministry in coordination with the Supreme Council of Magistracy. — SPA
