KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait on Saturday reported 900 new cases of coronavirus and 10 deaths, raising the total number of confirmed infections and virus-related fatalities in the country to 20,464 and 148 respectively, the health ministry said in a statement carried by KUNA.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry said that 232 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 5,747.

The ministry said that fresh lab tests proved that they have recovered, adding that they will be admitted to a rehabilitation ward before being discharged from hospital.

On Friday, Kuwait had registered 955 new COVID-19 cases. The statement by the Ministry of Health on Twitter also reported nine new deaths on Friday.
