RIYADH — The National Project Management, Operation, and Maintenance Organization in Public Entities (Mashroat) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Properties General Authority (SPGA) in order to enhance cooperation between the two organizations.

It is part of an ongoing program by Mashroat to improve asset and facility management across government departments, and ensure they meet international best practice. The agreement will support SPGA to digitalize a central database of assets and provide knowledge sharing on asset and facility management.

SPGA Governor Ihsan Bin Abbas Bafaqaih said, “We welcome this MoU with Mashroat. SPGA was established to manage state properties, raise the quality, protect them and ensure they are run efficiently. This MoU will ensure SPGA achieves those aims and operates to global standards, in line with Vision 2030.”

Director-General of Mashroat Mohammed Bin Ali Al-Assiri said, “We are proud of this joint partnership with SPGA. The MoU will enable SPGA to develop its asset management and ensure its properties are part of the national sustainable infrastructure.

“Mashroat is committed to raising property and asset management across the public sector and applying standard policies, procedures and systems. The MoU with SPGA is the latest partnership we have signed with the public sector and it is part of our ongoing program to ensure best practice is met at all levels.”

The National Project Management, Operation, and Maintenance Organization in Public Entities (Mashroat) is the state's enabling arm for infrastructure projects. It provides consultancy and technical support to government agencies in project management, operation and maintenance in order to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the national infrastructure and ensure the projects are in line with global best practice and meet the ambitious aspirations of Vision 2030. — SG
