RIYADH —
The Ministry of Sports, headed by Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, has unveiled two programs aiming to keep people fit and healthy: e-gym and Virtual Home Run staged in collaboration with the Saudi Sports Media Federation.

The e-gym program offers various types of exercises through a digital portal allowing the buffs access to professional coaches, offering opportunity to practice a number of sports at home. Access these workouts on Instagram Live or via the Zoom platform.

Question and answer sessions are also being planned so one can communicate directly with the professionals and seek advice about home sports activity!

The Virtual home run offers a number of events to cater to all types and levels of runners. Whether one can run 1 km or a full on marathon, he/she will find an event to suit your competitive needs!

These two initiatives build on the earlier ministry activations offering fitness inspiration and health tips.

This is in tandem with the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee (SAOC); they’ve also been highlighting the need to stay at home and keep fit. SAOC has showcased the determination of our Olympic athletes, and the fact that the success of one translates into success for all.

“Baytak Nadeek” by the Saudi Sports for All Federation in collaboration with the sports ministry and SAOC now has many phases: the Ramadan initiative of Move to Donate with the Saudi Food Bank, Move to Game with SAFEIS, and the university challenge with SUSF.
