RIYADH – Two Pakistani expatriates were arrested here on Tuesday for allegedly posing as health practitioners and claiming to be in possession of a vaccine against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The two, in separate cases, tried to befool their compatriot by bragging about the vaccine, spokesman of Riyadh Region Police Lt. Col. Shaker Al-Tuwaijri said.

Security follow-up of fraud and deception crimes led to the arrest of the duo separately. The culprits, both in their 30s, were found to be in possession of several medicines and medical tools, some of which were already expired. The two have been taken into custody, in preparation for referring them to the Public Prosecution, Lt. Col. Al-Tuwaijri added.
