Kuwait reports 85 new coronavirus cases, 2 more deaths

JEDDAH — Kuwait on Tuesday reported 85 new coronavirus cases and two more deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of infections and fatalities in the country to 2,080 and 11 respectively, Kuwait’s Health Ministry said in a statement carried by state news agency KUNA.

During its daily briefing, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that 46 patients were in intensive care, 20 of them are in critical condition.

Meanwhile a total of 1,657 patients are receiving treatment and the necessary care in hospitals, the KUNA report said.


Speaking about the new deaths, Al-Sanad said the deceased were a 59-year-old Bangladeshi male and a 63-year-old Somali male and both of them were being treated at ICU, the report added.
