WASHINGTON —
The spokesperson for the Saudi Arabian Embassy in the United States Fahad Nazer said that the Kingdom has done an exceptional job of containing the spread of the coronavirus in the Kingdom by taking early precautionary measures.

Nazer made his remarks on FOX News Rundown podcast with Trey Yingst on Saturday, stressing on the difficult but necessary precautionary measures Saudi Arabia took early on to control the spread of coronavirus.

“The suspension of visiting the two holy mosques during Ramadan probably will continue and people will still be praying at home as the mosques are still closed,” Nazer said.

“The Kingdom took the lead internationally in its capacity as G20 president this year to focus the international community attention to tackle the pandemic.”

“Our main focus is to prevent the virus from spreading, it’s too early to anticipate when life will be back to normal,” Nazer added.

On the recent oil production deal, Nazer said: “If you look at the Kingdom energy policy during the past 40 years the Kingdom has always acted responsibly and has been a voice of reason.”

“We believe in cooperation and economic cooperation can be beneficial to all. Saudi Arabia has played the main role in inking the historic agreement to cut oil production.”
